Everything You Need To Know
From consultations and measurements to timelines, fittings and delivery, we have answered the questions that help make your ANSSA experience seamless from beginning to end.
Consultations
What happens during a consultation?
A private, one-to-one session in our Netherlands studio, or by video if you are outside the Netherlands. We discuss the occasion and your vision, look at fabrics together, talk through silhouette and structure, and you leave with a tailored proposal covering design direction, investment and delivery window. There is no pressure and no obligation to proceed.
How much is the consultation fee?
Consultations are charged at €50 per hour. The fee is non-refundable, but it is deducted from your final order amount if you proceed with a commission.
How many reference images can I bring?
As many as you like. There is no limit, and you are welcome to share whatever you need in order to communicate your vision clearly.
Can I bring someone with me?
A maximum of two accompanying guests is recommended, and we ask that you let us know in advance if you wish to bring guests. Children are welcome by prior arrangement.
To ensure clear communication, everyone attending is encouraged to speak a language understood by all present whenever possible.
What is the best way to contact ANSSA?
WhatsApp is the preferred method, followed by email at info@anssa.nl. For appointments, the fastest route is the consultation request form.
What are your business hours?
Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
Consultations and bookings are by appointment only.
Pricing
How much does a dress cost?
Our bespoke pieces are individually designed and made to order.
The Modest Bridal Edit
Final pricing depends on the chosen design, fabrics, level of craftsmanship, embellishments and detailing required. Pricing is confirmed after consultation and design review. Full details are on the services page.
What currency do you charge in?
All prices are quoted in euros (€). International clients may pay in their local currency, and ANSSA receives payment in euros.
Production
How long does it take to make a gown?
Active production takes approximately eight to sixteen weeks depending on the garment, with additional time required for consultation, sourcing, fittings and detailed handwork. We encourage clients to book well in advance, as availability fills quickly.
Do you offer rush services?
ANSSA does not generally accept rush orders. Time-sensitive orders may be considered, subject to production availability at the time of enquiry.
Can I change the design once we have started?
Design changes are welcome up until the first fitting. Changes requested because of a change in personal preference after production has begun are not included in the original quotation and may incur additional charges.
Do you dress the bride on the wedding day?
Yes. ANSSA offers a bridal dressing service for both ANSSA brides and brides wearing gowns from other designers. The fee is €200, excluding transportation and accommodation where applicable.
The service includes dressing the bride, ensuring the gown fits perfectly, carrying out minor on-site alterations if needed, steaming or ironing the gown where required, and assisting during outfit changes.
Does ANSSA do collaborations?
Yes. ANSSA welcomes collaborations with designers and brands where the partnership is mutually beneficial.
I would love to model for ANSSA. Who should I contact?
Please send your portfolio and details by email to info@anssa.nl.
What happens if my order is delayed?
If unexpected circumstances beyond ANSSA control affect the agreed timeline, you will be informed promptly and kept updated throughout the process.
Late responses, missed fittings, delayed measurements or late payments may also affect the agreed delivery date.
Can I supply my own fabric?
Yes. Clients may supply their own materials, especially genuine traditional fabrics. ANSSA can also source and provide fabrics on your behalf.
How do I stay updated on ANSSA promotions and events?
Existing clients are informed about promotions and events by email.
If you are not yet a client, you can subscribe to the newsletter at the foot of any page, or follow @anssa.atelier on Instagram.
Measurements & fittings
How many fittings will I have?
Fittings are scheduled as needed, depending on the garment and the client’s requirements.
Traditional wear — up to three fittings:
Sample fitting, base fitting, and final fitting & collection.
Bridal couture — up to four fittings:
Sample fitting, base fitting, design refinement & detailing, and final fitting & collection.
Occasion wear — up to three fittings:
Sample fitting, base fitting, and final fitting & collection.
Two-Fitting Option
For clients travelling from abroad or unable to make multiple trips, a two-fitting option is available: sample fitting, followed by the final fitting and collection.
Unable to attend fittings in person?
Virtual fittings can be arranged where necessary. This can be discussed and agreed upon during the online consultation.
What happens if my measurements change during production?
Tell us as soon as possible so any necessary alterations can be assessed before the garment is completed. The fitting schedule exists so we can monitor the fit throughout production, and reasonable adjustments will be made wherever this is technically possible. Significant changes to the body may affect the original construction, the timeline or the scope of work.
Payments
What is your payment structure?
A booking is confirmed once an 80% deposit has been received. The remaining 20% is payable on completion, before collection or shipment. Your consultation fee is deducted from the final order amount.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer, cash, PayPal and other bank-supported money transfers are accepted.
What happens if a payment is outstanding?
Production cannot begin until the required deposit has been received. Completed garments are not delivered or shipped until the remaining balance has been paid in full.
Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel before production begins and receive a full refund. Once production has started, payments made become non-refundable, because work, materials, sourcing and other costs have already been incurred.
If ANSSA cancels an order, all payments made by the client, including fabric costs paid to ANSSA, are refunded in full.
Appointments & scheduling
How far in advance should I book?
Book four to six months in advance. Availability fills quickly, and that window allows for the eight to sixteen week production period plus the time needed for consultation, sourcing, fittings and handwork.
Is the consultation fee refundable?
Consultation fees are non-refundable. If you proceed with a commission, the fee is deducted from your final order amount.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
Yes. Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice.
If a consultation appointment is missed without prior notice, the €50 consultation fee is not refunded, and a new consultation requires a new €50 booking fee.
Where is ANSSA located?
The Hague, The Netherlands. Directions and a map are on the contact page.
Delivery
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, worldwide shipping is available. Shipping charges, customs duties, import taxes and any other destination-related costs are the responsibility of the client, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
How is my finished gown delivered?
Finished garments can be collected from the ANSSA atelier, or shipped using DHL Express or another courier you request. Your final fitting doubles as collection, so many clients take the garment home from the studio.
Garments should be collected at the agreed date and time. If that is not possible, please notify ANSSA in advance. The remaining balance must be settled before collection or shipment.
Alterations
Does ANSSA offer alterations?
ANSSA does not offer general alteration services. Adjustments that form part of an ANSSA bespoke order are handled through the scheduled fitting process instead.
Do you offer alterations after delivery?
Fit is resolved during the scheduled fittings, which is why the final fitting and collection sit together at the end of the process.
Policies
When does the gown become mine?
Ownership transfers to the client only after full payment has been received.
How is quality checked before delivery?
Every garment is carefully inspected before delivery. If a genuine workmanship issue is identified, ANSSA takes responsibility and resolves it.
What if something goes wrong?
ANSSA is committed to resolving concerns respectfully and professionally. Both ANSSA and the client are expected to communicate honestly and respectfully to reach a fair solution before any further action is considered.
